Bupa Great North Run 2009, Newcastle upon Tyne, South Shields, 20 September 2009
First time for everything!
Matthew Bell, a First Officer with Atlantic Airlines, who ran for AWB admitted he was running a marathon for the first time! Matthew said: "I completed the course in 2 hours 33 minutes and 16 seconds, which I don't think is bad for a first attempt! I had a great day out, and the thought that I was running for a great charity like yourselves made it that much better! Thanks also for all your support, and the T-Shirt, which I can say, helped keep me cool in the hot weather!”
Matt has so far raised over £150 and we are extremely grateful for his generosity and more than impressed by his running skills.
