AeroExpo Europe Exhibition - Wycombe Air Park, Berkshire 12-14 June 2009
AWB on display!
AWB raised its profile a notch by exhibiting at AeroExpo Europe - the only major general aviation event in the UK aimed at aviation professionals, recreational pilots, and those with a passion for flying. Just the type of person AWB is keen to make contact with! Our cuddly ambassador Amy 'Wonderful' Bear was there too and she made many new friends. A chance of winning an Amy Bear by spinning AWB's "famous" Wheel of Fortune was one of the highlights of the display. Many happy visitors spent their time - and money - helping us to raise money for the charity and to try and win an Amy look alike!
Several important company and organisation contacts were made and we were also pleased to meet a number of old friends. Some companies and organisations came to us to discuss sponsorship opportunities and the foundations were laid for further discussions. Their activities covered: engines, avionics, accessories, spare parts, maintenance, safety, fuels, tyres, flight training schools, simulators, pilot supplies, insurance, and other general aviation-related product or services.
A number of private pilots and other aviation professionals and enthusiasts also indicated their interest in becoming members and/or volunteering for such activities as our Smiling Wings Days.
AWB's brand new I LOVE AMY merchandise such as T-shirts and mugs were on sale for the first time. The exhibition proved a useful and important contribution to AWB's image and increased public awareness of AWB and its activities.
